The Mass of Praise is a Mass for singing celebrant and Choir and was first used in the Florida Parish of St Anne Catholic Community. The solo parts for the Celebrant were sung by Parish Priest, Fr Robert Mitchell. With the change of the new rite of the Roman Mass, the composition was updated and subsequently recorded. Cormac and Fiona sang the Choir parts while Fr David Carter of Knoxville sang the part of the Celebrant. The Mass of Praise uses sections not normally sung during the Liturgy, including longer Prefaces and the Eucharistic Prayers sung in a semi-operatic manner. This makes the work also a suitable piece for Concerts of Sacred Music. It has however been approved for Liturgical use by Divine Worship at the USCCB, and is available for purchase for use in churches.
