The Mary project proposes a performance of the Mary Oratorio - the only known oratorio written in the English Language to celebrate her life. At concerts it proposes spoken or other contributions from different confessions to celebrate her role, including Orthodox, Catholic, Lutheran, Anglican, Methodist and Evangelical. The proposed location for the premiere of this work is Ireland which witnessed an apparition of Mary in 1879 and which celebrates the 150th anniversary of this event in 2019. It is proposed that there are subsequent performances in Germany where there is a translation of the work into German using once again Luther’s Bible of 1545.
